First Light knows that women have the power to perform in the sacred calling of motherhood. Children are an heritage of the Lord (Psalms). The nurturing of life prior to birth, the emergence of life at birth, and bonding with the whole family after birth is a holistic experience. Women are strong, powerful, and instinctual. First Light knows women should have all the resources they need to make informed decisions about where and how they will bring their baby into this world. And don't forget Dad! Fathers provide security, strength, and support. Fathers are encouraged to be active participants in the birth of baby, according to their comfort level.
