About Me
My name is Rachel Logan. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Brigham Young University. I received my doula training through Childbirth International. I live in Provo and provide services to families in Utah and Salt Lake Counties.
I have 3 children. Liberty is 3 and her's was a beautiful and successful planned home birth. The birth was "longish" as my midwife lovingly says, and I learned a lot! Jonathan is 2 and was a much welcomed surprise. He was so anxious to get to our family that his planned home birth turned into a hospital transfer due to prematurity (6 weeks prior to his due date). He spent 3 weeks in the NICU until I was finally able to get him home just two days before Christmas! Evey is 1 and was also a beautiful home birth. She weighed 9 lbs 11 oz!
I have had a variety of experiences and have a very positive view of birth. It is incredible the empowerment and accomplishment that comes from bringing new life to our families, and it is truly amazing what our bodies are capable of! My personal birth philosophy is that we feel most satisfied and fulfilled when our desires are respected and our wishes come true, and birth is no exception.
